Your Responsibilities:

      • Attend networking events with the goal of meeting new leads and developing relationships
      • Following up with warm leads generated from networking events
      • Cold calling businesses to generate new business
      • Door to door sales to generate new business
      • Accurately survey customer site for new signage
      • Willing to learn how to manufacture and install signs
      • Excellent writing and communication skills
      • Filing sign permit applications
      • Provide quality control on outgoing projects
      • Learn new technologies, skills and techniques related to sign making through on the job training

Requirements:

      • Great attitude – someone who will add to the work culture we have
      • Proactive in problem solving
      • Experience in the graphics and signage industry is not necessary but a plus
      • Part-time availability (10-20 hours/week)
      • High school diploma

Additional Preferred Qualifications (“Nice to haves” but not required):

      • Reliable vehicle with good driving record
      • Experience in a manufacturing environment
      • A passion for SALES but without being salesy
      • Basic familiarity with graphic design and typography
      • College graduate

Lightbox Graphix is in need of a Level 1 Sign Maker to join our team. The Sign Maker is a professional, focused team player with great interpersonal skills and values delivering excellence. The Sign Maker is also detail oriented, works well in a fast-paced team environment and able to efficiently manage multiple projects with care. We are looking for a team who wants to be part of a culture that values relationships, growth and making a positive impact in our communities.

Required skills

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud tool suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of vector based design.
  • Basic math skills and ability to measure and perform calculations with accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly to clients, vendors, and fellow team members.
  • Experience and knowledge of how to use basic tools for the assembly and installation of signs (precision knife, light power equipment, heat gun, ladder etc.)
  • Able to lift 30 or more pounds.
  • BA in Graphic Design or currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, produce, and install signs.
  • Inspect proofs for accuracy before sending jobs to production.
  • Operate wide format printer, laminator, and plotter.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.

Ideal candidate maintains the following characteristics:

  • Passion for learning with an eagerness to work hard and effectively use individual strength/talents to add to a team centered environment.
  • Able to grasp clients’ design concept to create artwork that compliments their industry field.
  • Strong design analysis with an eye for detail.
  • Listens well to the needs of existing/potential clients and clearly communicates design options.
  • Strong desire to develop existing skills with an openness to creating innovative production techniques.
  • Promote the development of client and team relationships.
